Cats in Crisis, a 501(c)(3) charitable non-profit organization, was founded in the Fall of 2004 by Clay and Victoria Hopkins in memory of Mesa, their beloved cat who succumbed to renal failure in October 2003.
With a combination of Victoria's background in veterinary technology and pre-veterinary medicine and Clay's professional abilities as a computer programmer,
Cats in Crisis is designed to help cat caretakers through the internet.
The Hopkins desire is to reach as many cat caretakers as possible who are faced with the dilemma of how to afford unexpected diagnostics and treatment for their feline companions. We believe in a "Commitment for Life" and feel strongly that no cat should be euthanized simply because their caretakers have limited financial means.
