Bagheera

Cats in Crisis is very pleased to introduce a new recipient of a Gillie Fund Grant! Bagheera is a handsome black 8 year old cat that was hit by a car in October 2004, resulting in complete paralysis of his rear limbs. Unfortunately, the accident also caused permanent nerve damage resulting in loss of bladder function. Bagheera requires the use of a mobility cart and manual expressing of his bladder daily. He also requires constant supervision. The costs associated with his care are very high and his owner was faced with choosing euthanasia.

Luckily, the caring vets who had become attached to this wonderful cat contacted Tabby's Place, a sanctuary and adoption facility for cats in Ringoes, NJ. As soon as a space opened up, Tabby's Place welcomed this handsome black kitty with open arms. Cats in Crisis is pleased to offer financial assistance through the Gillie Fund to help pay for the costs associated with Bagheera's medical needs, specifically medication needed for his bladder. We are grateful to Tabby's Place for giving this wonderful cat a second chance at life.
