Midnight is a handsome black cat who, at 17 years of age, has grown into a sweet natured "gentleman" with a lot to say and many endearing qualities. About a year ago he was diagnosed with CRF and he requires daily fluid therapy. Midnight is also hyperthyroid and takes daily medication for this disease as well. Midnight's caretakers were struggling to afford all of the costs involved with caring for his medical needs, due to dealing with unexpected and overwhelming financial and medical issues of their own. We were pleased to offer a Mesa Grant to help with Midnight's CRF needs.

Midnight is truly a special cat who is devoted to his caretakers. He even alerts his "Mom" when her blood sugar is too high. He has been a lifelong friend and we are touched by the devotion Midnight and his caregivers share.

Update 09/02/2005: It is with great sadness that we have to report that Midnight crossed the Rainbow Bridge on Friday, Sept. 2. We are grateful to have gotten to know this wonderful cat and his caretakers.
