Dasher

Dasher

Dasher, a young adult male grey tabby cat was found by a good samaritan on the streets of Los Angeles, a recent victim of a severe beating or possibly hit by a car. He had severe head trauma including severe damage to both eyes and his jaw. Dasher needed immediate surgery to remove one eye, repair the other which had protruded from its socket and needed his jaw wired. He also needed a second surgery to insert a PEG tube for feeding, as he was not able to feed himself or be syringe fed due to the extensive jaw damage and swelling.

We are thrilled to have been able to offer Dasher our first Nine Lives Emergency Grant so that he could get the critical, life saving care he needed. Several humane organizations pulled together to help this sweet cat and he is currently recovering from his multiple surgeries. The good samaritan who found him is adopting him and giving him a loving, safe, indoor home!
