Heart disease and thyroid disease, fairly common conditions especially in older cats, can be very costly to treat and maintain. Frequent veterinary visits as well as numerous diagnostic tests can quickly add up to a large vet bill. Cats who have heart or thyroid conditions in many cases do not receive the veterinary diagnostic testing they require due to high cost.
